Private Banking Business Risk Management is responsible to provide independent risk oversight to the business. The Risk team partners with the business to identify and mitigate business risks in products and services provided to clients. The team also seeks to build a culture of client-focused risk awareness within PB.

Responsibilities
* Review, analyze UHNW and HNW private client KYC information pre on-boarding and ascertain whether on-boarding the client will post additional reputation risk
* To also ensure the rationale to establish the relationship is adequately documented. Discuss with senior management on the analysis where required
* Analyze challenging account opening situations and independently ascertain whether there will be potential issues in opening the account
* Coordinate within Risk where it relates to regulatory audits / requests / initiatives
* Collate data and prepare Risk data for control analytics
* Coordinate and/or participate in KYC/AML related discussions, committees and forums
* Periodic training & awareness sessions to new hires and various refreshers to staff

Qualifications:

* 7 years relevant Private Bank Risk Management or Private Bank Compliance experience with focus on KYC/AML review focusing in the North Asia markets, including China, Taiwan, Thailand and Philippines
* Background in internal Audit or regulatory Audit with focus on KYC/AML will be considered
* Broad knowledge of rules and regulations for various Asia jurisdictions, with focus on KYC/AML
* Ability to identify and focus on issues at a holistic level and yet be detailed oriented and independence in thinking when analyzing
* Strong interpersonal skills (required to work with both frontline staff and support groups) and level of maturity/confidence are required to convey risk issues to senior management
* Proactive, organized and systematic
* Good team player
* Chinese proficiency an advantage
