JOB PROFILE – (Sr.) Technical Quality Manager The Technical Quality Manager is a key position in quality engineering organization. The ideal candidate will possess some mechanical knowledge of stack-up tolerance device and system level to leverage the knowledge at component level fit-for-use applications.Core Job responsibilities:- Drive suppliers to produce the highest quality parts which meet Business needs- Participate in design review and give recommendation to development team- Establish cosmetic inspection capability, correlate and standardize test and inspection process across Contract Manufacturers and Sub-Tier suppliers. - Develop all necessary Technical Quality documents include but not limited to, supplier process qualification plan, supplier quality requirement and expectation, develop/drive Component Quality and Reliability Requirement, Component Critical To Quality/Function and Out of Box Audit plan - Participate in supplier component qualification; qualification includes manufacturing/test/ cosmetic process verification and quality monitoring gates to ensure parts produced meet MS acceptable standards and recognized industry standards in terms of test and sampling.- Track and review periodic supplier quality data and drive continuous improvement- Carry out periodic supplier quality audits to ensure process compliance and robust quality system, with automated data collection system.- Work with MS commodity and factory management team to understand and highlight areas where quality and process within a specific supplier can be improved for operations and quality excellence. - Drive CAPA (Corrective Actions and Preventive Actions) for quality issues.- Apply 6 sigma and Lean Manufacturing to drive quality and process improvementQualifications: - Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics , Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience- Advanced degree (MS and/or MBA) preferred- 15 years working experience in supplier quality, component manufacturing process and/or engineering- Subject Matter Expert to the related component design or manufacturing process and technology- Strong understanding of statistical control knowledge, eg Statistical Process Control, DFMEA and Designs of Experiment- Excellent verbal and communication skills- Ability to work independently and under pressure- Must be a team player In addition to effective management skills, the successful candidate will need to have the following attributes:- Confidence- Cross-Boundary Collaboration- Impact and Influence- Interpersonal Awareness- Analytical Problem Solving- Customer-Focused Innovation- Passion for Quality- Project Management- Strategic Insight- Team LeadershipMicrosoft is an equal opportunity employer and supports workforce diversity.GCR:CN:DEV:EN
