VERB is looking for a Senior Account Director to manage customer relationships and to provide strategic direction and leadership across a collection of high-profile clients. The Senior Account Director is the main point of contact for the client acting as their voice within the agency, ensuring their needs are met and effective solutions are provided. The Senior Account Director may lead a team of Account Coordinators, Account Managers, and Account Directors, providing day-to-day support, coaching, and guidance as needed.


What You Will Do

  • Oversee large-scale website builds from inception to launch, collaborating with team members across all VERB departments
  • Serve as main point of contact for clients at the executive level, acting as agency representative
  • Manage client expectations; combining client needs with organization skill-sets to determine the most effective marketing solutions
  • Day-to-day management of client business through strategic planning and daily execution of project tasks
  • Effective management of budgets and resources, following predetermined budgets for projects and consistently assessing departmental resources to ensure staffing requirements are met, making adjustments when necessary
  • Responsible for the organic growth of a portfolio of accounts, providing exceptional service and continually striving to promote cutting-edge and innovative solutions
  • Deliver clear and concise direction to internal teams, ensuring all parties are on the same page for projects, with clear action items and timelines
  • Responsible for the overall output of project working team, ensuring tasks are completed on time, within budget, and of the utmost quality
  • Uncover and articulate research, insight, and strategic models to help advance the business interests of clients
  • Effectively manage and build strong relationships with senior clients and have the ability to navigate up the client organization
  • Provide leadership/mentorship to team of Account Coordinators, Account Managers, and Account Directors
  • Assist management with team recruitment, performance management, and employee relations
  • Work with agency senior management team to ensure that issues affecting client services and creative projects are communicated and resolved within a reasonable amount of time
  • Understand the larger financial picture and revenue targets within organization, supporting senior management to ensure client budgets and projects are aligned with company financial goals and objectives

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in marketing/ advertising industry or Account Management role
  • Post-secondary education with a focus on advertising, marketing, communications, or business
  • Highly organized and ability to function in a fast-paced business environment
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, web development technologies and design lifecycle
  • Working understanding of SEO, SEM, social, and traditional media
  • Experienced in managing multiple simultaneous projects, involving cross-functional teams, with budget, schedule and resource constraints
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills
  • Highly meticulous and detail-oriented
  • Demonstrated ability to create and present creative ideas and solutions to both clients and internal management
  • Previous leadership experience, managing or coaching Account Coordinators/ Account Managers
  • Previous experience managing projects of $200k in value
