The primary focus of this position will be the placement of RWI policies, but this role will also support the Management Liability Department’s client’s risk management services related to contract issues and client business practices and traditional Management Liability insurance procurement. This position requires expertise and understanding of Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) transactional risk. Understanding of various insurance coverages and the legal issues related to M&A and Private Equity including contractual and regulatory issues is required. A strong professional presence and sound interpersonal skills related to both client service and internal peer interaction are required. Direct client interaction, often with decision makers and VIPs of designated clients, is required. Ability to effectively communicate and work in a dynamic/changing environment is a necessity. The understanding and ability to work with limited supervision and extended/nontraditional work hours is a requirement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for placement and servicing of RWI including the ability to work a flexible schedule in a fast paced environment, specifically during active deal periods.
  • Responsible for consistent and timely follow up and information dissemination between clients, underwriters, and legal teams for subject to information required in order to complete the RWI.
  • Responsible for checking the accuracy of policies and endorsements from the various insurance companies.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of the core Management Liability Products. (D&O, Fiduciary, Crime, Employment Practices, Misc. Errors and Omissions & Cyber Liability)
  • Participate in the placement of traditional Private Equity Portfolio Management Liability policies.
  • Responsible for inputting account detail into Epic.
  • Responsible for maintaining Monthly Account Inventory Report
  • Responsible for maintaining up to date carrier coverage analysis.
  • Responsible for maintaining and developing carrier relationships.
  • Required to attend client meeting upon request.
  • Required to attend specific RWI industry functions upon request.
  • Required to comply with the Management Liability Operating Workflow Procedures
  • Demonstrate the ability to resolve transactional issues with the supervision of the Senior Vice President of Management Liability.
  • Responsible for identifying cross marketing opportunities and maximizing the product offerings on the assigned account portfolio.



  • Minimum three years M&A, Tax or Securities transactional legal work required.
  • Juris Doctorate and admittance to the NYS BAR required.
  • Prior insurance experience preferred.
  • Must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • CPCU or other designation preferred.
  • Property and Casualty Brokers license required.
  • Agency experience preferred.
