About the Opportunity: Account Management Executive 
With exciting growth plans on the horizon, cievents is on the lookout for an enthusiastic, connected and energetic Account Management Executive to join their North Sydney based team. As a professional Account Management Executive, you'll have exceptional presentation skills and high level communication and negotiation ability ensuring your ability to represent cievents when building relationships with prospects.

Based in North Sydney and reporting to the Director of Account Management, you'll support the Account Management Team in retention and growth within the managed account portfolio. You'll work with the Director of Account Management, Group Account Directors, and Group Account Manager to ensure that programs are compelling and are designed to meet the client’s event brief within budget. You'll develop the team’s proposals, illustrating the solution cievents will deliver on against the brief, articulating cievents’ points of differentiation. This is an upwardly mobile position where you will learn and develop the skills necessary to become an effective Account Manager for cievents in the future.

What you will bring to the table:

  • U nderstanding of trends in the market and the ability to identify potential opportunities
  • Ability to develop relationships, trust and credibility with key suppliers to influence the best outcomes for the business and for the client
  • Understanding  of the commercial structure and drivers of the client organisation 
  • Ability to create pitches / solutions which deliver on the client's objectives
  • Sound knowledge of procurement, event product and market trends
  • Ability to think cross-functionally and balance business and client requirements
  • Clear and effective communication with all audiences using written, graphic and verbal expression
  • Natural team player who collaborates well and empowers others for the most effective outcomes
  • Maintains a highly organized approach to work, juggling multiple tasks at the same time and completing them within required timeframes and quality standards

We’re seeking professionals with demonstrable skills and experience:

  • Minimum of 6 years of corporate event, conference and incentive management experience
  • Exceptional communication skills, both spoken and written
  • Ability to deliver on deadline in a high pressure environment
  •  A knowledge of all major suppliers and relevant MICE products/destinations.
  • Confident to engage with stakeholders at all levels including Director of Account Management, Director of Sales, and Director of Operations
  • Exceptional strategic and analytical skills
  • High attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
  • Exceptional written communication
  • Demonstrated customer service experience
  • Excellent presentation design skills
  • Tertiary qualification, preferably in Event Management or related field
