THE OPPORTUNITY

As an Associate Account Manager in our Commercial Insurance Division , you will , you will work with Account Executives on all aspects of servicing commercial accounts.. We are seeking an self-motivated individual with a strong attention to detail to join our Burnaby head office location in a Regular Full Time position

Our Burnaby Still Creek head office location is centrally located in the Willingdon Business Park near Brentwood Town Centre. This location is easily accessible by the Gilmore sky train station with many shops, restaurants and other amenities nearby.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As an Associate Account Manager, you will:

  • Deliver highest standard of client service and care

  • Collaborate effectively with team to service all aspects of commercial accounts

  • Meet and exceeds monthly budgeted targets

  • Prospect and seek new business opportunities from leads

  • Service and maintain existing book of business

  • Work with clients in advance for client renewals and new business opportunities

  • Collect data from the client, create an expert submission in Policy Works (or EPIC) to be presented, identify coverage gaps and offering coverage solutions, negotiate suitable rates and coverages with company underwriters, present client proposal and bind coverage.

  • Prepare proposals, cover notes, customer correspondence, certificates, and invoices as per agency standards

  • Process and attach all documentation according to Hub workflows

  • Manage and collect Account Receivables

  • Review and manage Account Reconciliation working with Accounting Team

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

As the successful candidate, you will bring:

  • 5+ years of Commercial Insurance experience

  • A Level 2 General Insurance License

  • A strong sense of urgency and motivation to support your team

  • Superior client service, presentation and interpersonal skills

  • Experience with marketing and assisting with client contacts on accounts within the book of business

  • Good communication, problem solving and critical thinking skills

  • Strong technical insurance knowledge of coverages

  • Experience in dealing with Accounts

  • A recognized industry certification (CAIB, CIP, CRM, BCIT Risk Management, etc.) preferred but not required

  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office knowledge, with focus on Excel and Word

Department Account Management & Service

Required Experience: 5-7 years of relevant experience
