The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Mid-Market Sales Account Manager to join us in Madrid, Spain to sell our innovative solutions while assisting in strategic planning. In this role, you will be assigned specific accounts and customers within the region and be responsible for developing account plans and implementing them in a highly competitive market. You'll also build new relationships and expand business with existing customers within your assigned accounts while meeting sales quotas. As a Mid-Market Sales Account Manager, you will collaborate with these accounts to discover new opportunities, use past solutions as blueprints for future success, and build relationships with C-level executives to guide technological decision making.

  • Sell the complete Red Hat portfolio of solutions within an assigned territory of defined focus accounts and identify new customers
  • Promote our Red Hat value proposition to prospective customers within a highly competitive market
  • Build and maintain an extensive network in various industries and verticals
  • Team up with Red Hat business partners in close collaboration with the Iberian Channel Sales team
  • Build a pipeline within the territory together with the Territory Inside Sales team
  • Generate a stream of short sales cycle business besides the focus account opportunities together with the Red Hat business partners
  • Work with the Marketing team to generate leads and actively participate in marketing events
  • Create and maintain territory account plans and report back to regional Red Hat management

  • 5+ years of experience selling complex IT solutions to larger organizations
  • Excellent communication and technical skills to develop relationships at operations, engineering, software development, and executive levels throughout organizations
  • Fluency in Spanish and English
  • Demonstrated market and competitive knowledge
  • Proactive, practical approach toward products, markets, and client business challenges
  • Willing to work in an open culture where meritocracy and accountability are important values
  • Experience in an international software organization is a plus
