We are looking for Account Manager Automotive (m/f/d) to support our team from Home Office based in Germany.


• The role holder develops an overall strategy and targets for their sales responsibility in alignment with the Celanese EMEA strategy and details individual strategies and targets for their assigned customers and countries/regions.
• Utilizes their experience and strong expertise to grow volumes and margins and optimizes the customer grade mix, managing a range of commercial activities:
• Sales forecasting and planning
• Customer plans and action tracking; The role holder coordinates cross-functional customer teams where applicable, participates in cross regional/ global projects.
• Customer acquisition; managing customer relationships, leading customer negotiations
• Sales execution
• Managing stakeholder relations along the value chain
• Management of price and commercial conditions


• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business administration, an MBA is a plus
• 5+ years of professional commercial experience in technical selling role
• Profound industrial/application knowledge
• Proven track record of driving sales growth
• Strong business acumen and value focused
• Strong negotiation and contracting skills
• Excellent selling skills to build and strengthen customer relationship
• Dealing with multiple levels and functions at customer
• Worked in companies with strong result orientation and systematic approach to account management
• Good coordination and follow up skills
• Strong communication skills, internally as well as externally
• Dealing with multiple levels and functions at customer
• Self-motivated and energetic; hunter mentality
• Fluency in English and German required, add. languages a plus
