Lubrizol Additives is a pioneering global supplier of chemical additives technologies including additives for engine oils, driveline applications, gasoline and diesel fuel, other transportation related fluids and industrial lubricants.

We are looking to recruit an Account Manager to join the German Sales team. The successful candidate will take responsibility for Lubrizol’s profitability by executing Product Line strategies and managing key defend/grow opportunities across several German national and international accounts to deliver sustainable growth year on year.

In this role, the successful candidate will:

  • Execute business strategy for selected market segments and targeted accounts;
  • Grow and manage current key direct accounts;
  • Identify core growth accounts and build exceptional customer relationships;
  • Support growth initiatives for the business and introduction of new products;
  • Develop, negotiate, and close sales contracts and agreements;
  • Communicate well throughout the organization;
  • Comply timely and accurately with administrative requirements, such as call reports, sales forecasting and expense reports;
  • Provide the market information and survey of related industry and its trend for company further develop.

To be successful you will need:

  • A good understanding of Lubrizol, its products and service offering and the value these bring to its Customers
  • A university degree, preferably chemical or technical
  • Several years of direct technical/specialty chemical sales experience
  • Strong technical understanding of specialty chemicals and polymers, and their applications like lubricants, fuel and industrial fluids
  • Excellent communications and presentation skills
  • Fluency in German and English (spoken and written)
  • Good at office IT applications
  • Willing to travel

Located close to a residential area in the east of Hamburg, our site can be reached ideal both with public transportations and cars. The metropolis Hamburg offers attractive living and working conditions as well as a wide range of cultural activities. Furthermore, there are several opportunities regarding sports, recreation and family. In view of the port and the Alster River, Hamburg provides incomparable sights. Within the urban area, there are numerous park areas and the back country invites for excursions.
