The Role

Megaport is seeking a Partner Account Manager, with experience in engaging and building relationships with partners, to manage Megaport reseller accounts.  Your primary role is to manage assigned reseller accounts with their day to day requirements and identify further opportunities within accounts to grow the Megaport business with resellers.  Part of this role also involves educating current customers on Megaport Technologies and encourage further adoption and uptake of its current and any new services.  This role is designed to support the Partner Sales Manager in building brand awareness and increase Megaport partner revenue across Australia. 
What you will be doing
    • Achieve and exceed pre-defined sales target
    • Act as primary point of contact with assigned partner customers and assist with their enquiries and providing quotes
    • Build and maintain relationships with assigned partner accounts 
    • Hunt new deals from current partner accounts with the objective to increase business with existing partners
    • Identify prospective partners and sign up new partner accounts
    • Provide information and guidance on cloud trends as the associated route to market and how partners can leverage Megaport CSPs to accelerate public or hybrid adoption by enterprises 
    • Work with Marketing to develop Partner Case Studies and encourage partners to provide testimonials on Megaport
    • Maintain accounts in Salesforce and ensure activities and sales pipelines are kept up to date.
What we are looking for
    • Proven sales experience in the IT industry, preferably with 4-6+ years’ experience working with partners 
    • Good knowledge of ICT services and working with partners to build strong relationships and consistent business
    • Knowledge of data centre and connectivity services consumed by partners and their customers
    • Previous experience with partners located within Australia
    • Understand complexities in working with partners which deliver ICT services to customers
    • High energy, proactive individual who is a fast learner of all things new 
    • Expert communication, presentation, written and time management skills
    • Ability to work in a diverse, highly distributed workforce, some travel may be required (approx. 30%)
    • Ability to work autonomously and be able to think laterally to resolve problems
    • Flexible role location on east coast of Australia for the right candidate
