Role Summary

Reuters Broadcast Solutions team are looking for an experienced Account Manager to grow revenue from media publishers including Broadcasters, online publishers and social media platforms.
Based in Hong Kong, this role will report directly into the SVP of Sales and Content Solutions. Leveraging Reuters News Agency relationships, the Sales Manager will be responsible for driving media publisher revenue for Reuters across Asia. Key to this role will be the ability to present at the most senior level and the ability to communicate the full range of content opportunities. The Sales Manager will pro-actively pitch new ideas, concepts and solutions to clients as well as manage existing client relationships. The role will be required to stay on top of industry trends and understand how Reuters can maximize opportunities in new and emerging areas.

Role Responsibilities

  • Working with the News Agency sales team to identify opportunities

  • In conjunction with the editorial team present content ideas and solutions that highlights Reuters news gathering capabilities and infrastructure

  • Develop a quarterly plan for target accounts and production companies across the region

  • High visibility at industry events showcasing Reuters content capabilities

  • Achieve Quarterly and Annual revenue targets

Key Relationships

  • News Agency Sales Leadership teams

  • Heads of Newsgathering at media publishers

  • Heads of content at media publishers

Essential Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven success in selling Content led solutions on an International basis

  • Existing Pan Regional client relationships

  • Proven success in selling large value deals

  • Evidence of success in a multimedia environment

  • Excellent presentation skills: confident and articulate in client and agency meetings

  • Strong understanding of the media publishing environment

  • Experience working in a collaborative environment that includes Sales, Editorial, Product and Design

  • Customer-focused, with excellent written and verbal communication

  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented and analytical

  • Passionate about new business opportunities with evidence of having won new business.

Desired Skills

  • Passion for News and journalism

  • Additional languages

  • Ability to sell and convert existing client relationships

  • Deep understanding of news publishers content requirements

Education/ Certifications

  • Undergraduate degree required
