  Job Summary: 
This position is vital in attaining sales, collection, and trade development by implementing sales and marketing strategies for short and long term plans of the Company.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 
  • Pro-actively generate new business opportunities through one’s own initiative and with the support and direction of the Sales Director and develop core propositions and generate new business leads.
  • Follow-up, support, and action any potential new business customers utilizing flavors in the food industry as directed by the Sales Manager.
  • Cold Call prospective new business customers on a regular basis, as well as existing customers in the Food Flavors and Colors segment.
  • Manage business relationships with customer’s Purchasing and Research and Development staff, interfacing with primary Technical contacts in order to solicit new business and to participate actively on long-term projects. 
  • Generate a substantive sales opportunity pipeline, focusing mainly on flavors, and to achieve sales targets as defined by the Sales Manager.
  • Create customer-specific proposals, and attend customer meetings and presentations, at all times aiming to persuade prospects/clients of the value and quality of the Company products.
  • Develop and execute programs/concepts that will be widely accepted by customers resulting into acquisition, development, and retention of business to enhance company brand equity, recognition, and value.
  • Manage the sales process from initial opportunity through the securing of the customer’s purchase order and ensure successful delivery.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and compare company product lines with those in competitive organizations in the industry and recommend strategies, minimizing the effect of the competition on sales while enhancing sales for the company.
  • Attend and contribute to sales meetings, presentations and training courses, recognizing one’s own contribution to those activities.
  • To develop and maintain knowledge and experience of relevant technologies and market trends, particularly in the Flavors segment of the food industry.

Education & Experience: 
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent. MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
  • A solid background in food ingredient sales and a significant experience in account management, minimum of five (5) years required; experience in handling Food Colours accounts would be an advantage
  • Must possess comprehensive knowledge of the Food industry and have the ability to manage significant business opportunities.
