We are looking to employ a dynamic and driven Payroll / Accounts Payable Officer to provide support to our Finance Manager. We are willing to consider a part-time applicant willing to work flexibly over 5 days or full time.

In this role, your workload will be busy and diverse, with a core focus on delivering exceptional service.

The key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

  • All aspects of payroll;
    • Preparation of monthly payroll end-to-end, including Superannuation, PAYG Withholding, WorkCover and Payroll Tax
    • In conjunction with the Finance Manager, ensure Firm compliance with payroll policy
    • Preparation of year-end compliance
    • Reconciliation of related General Ledger accounts
    • Reconciliation of leave
    • Preparation of monthly calculations / variances and analysis as required.
  • All aspects of Accounts Payable;
    • Daily bank reconciliation
    • Accounts Payable preparation, including processing invoices/bills and employee reimbursements, GL coding and preparation of payments
    • In conjunction with the Finance Manager, ensure Firm compliance with relevant policy
    • Corporate Credit Card and General Ledger maintenance.
  • General Finance;
    • Sundry invoicing and debtor management as required
    • Monthly calculations and reconciliations as required
    • Preparation of periodic payments as required
    • Assistance and back up for the finance team as required.

Xero Certification and demonstrable experience are essential for this role. Advanced skills in MS Excel and online payroll software are also required. Experience with APS, Receipt-Bank, Expensify and KeyPay will be advantageous.

A passionate and driven professional, you will have outstanding attention to detail and exceptional communication skills. You will have a strong sense of urgency and initiative, as well as proven analytical and problem solving skills.

You are a true team player offering first class interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

To be considered, you will have significant experience in a similar role, preferably in an accounting or professional services environment.
