Our Kilsyth branch is currently looking for a 12 month full time Finance Intern commencing late July/August 2019 who is keen to utilise theoretical skills learnt in their degree and develop practical skills in the workforce. This is a unique opportunity to gain skills and knowledge while you are working full time.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaising with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Preparation of analytical reports
  • Analyse variance reports and highlight key areas
  • Prepare monthly and yearly financial close process including consolidation
  • Preparation of financial modelling of business investment and cost saving opportunities
  • Identify needs and opportunities for process improvements
  • Perform General Ledger reconciliation on a monthly basis
  • Assist to upload monthly journals
  • Participate in community involvement teams
  • Involve in ad-hoc projects when required

Qualifications

 

About You:  

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Currently in your penultimate year (with a minimum of 1 subject of study remaining) studying an undergraduate Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Time management skills and ability to multi-task
  • An interest and willingness to learn and develop new skills in a diverse organisation
  • Great interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to understand and maintain confidentiality
  • Intermediate computer literacy and understanding of Microsoft Office suite
  • Valid car driving license highly preferred
