The successful candidate will work with the commercial, marketing, internal support and technical teams, to achieve financial goals. With strong knowledge and background within the life science space, the Account Manager will strive to achieve assigned targets, strengthen customer relations, drive growth and development within an existing customer base and expand market penetration and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve assigned territories sales target in academia area
  • Continuously derive initiatives to drive sales and boost assigned accounts activities
  • Actively sourcing new sales opportunities through visits
  • Advising customers on suitable product selection based on their needs and specifications
  • Work closely with supervisor to manage monthly, quarterly and yearly forecast
  • Build strong relationship and network with KOL within assigned territories
  • Interact with potential and existing customers through visits, emails, telephone calls, and other future digital platforms
  • Creating a sales pipeline to accurately reflect the relative placement of sales prospects in the purchasing process via SFDC
  • Generate and process new sales leads into quotation via SFDC
  • Confirm sales lead and follow up
  • Facilitate the submission of tender, coordinate with internal partners on necessary processes, eg. product matching, price quote, legal documents, etc
  • Maintain accurate reporting and files of territories needed for tracking and data analysis
  • Provide product demonstration to customer on basic benchtop equipment, when required
  • Arrange and coordinate for post sales instrument installation, commissioning and training

Skills and Requirements:

  • Good knowledge of the Life Science market, either through work experience, or field of study
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to connect well people
  • Quick learner in software, workflows and products
  • Highly driven with the ability to perform under stress and adhere to strict timelines
  • Bachelor or Master of Life Science, Biomedical Science, Biochemistry or related field
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of working experience within the Life Science field, commercial experience preferred
