Computershare has a great opportunity for an Account Manager to join our Georgeson team based in the Sydney CBD or our global head office in Abbotsford, Melbourne on a 12 month contract basis.

Georgeson is the world's original and foremost provider of strategic services to corporations and investors working to influence corporate strategy. Our core proxy solicitation expertise is enhanced with and complemented by our strategic consulting services in three key service areas:

  • M&A;
  • Activism; and
  • Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG).

Georgeson secures successful outcomes and mitigates transaction risk for boards and CEOs around the globe, using our expert knowledge of investor response and unique data driven insight.

The Account Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management and service delivery of Computershare’s Georgeson campaigns.

A role you will love   

As the Account Manager of Georgeson, you will be reporting directly to the General Manager and you will be responsible for client consultation while directing the planning and execution of services according to client objectives.

Some other key responsibilities:

  • Ensure that service outcomes are met 100% of the time. The primary aim is to achieve service excellence to support and enhance the pursuit of winning new and ongoing business for Georgeson and Computershare
  • Interact frequently with external parties such as clients, investment bankers, lawyers, brokers etc as well as with other parts of the Computershare business
  • Proactively contribute and promote a positive working environment of achievement, excellence, accountability, support, and a harmonious working culture 

What will you bring to the role?      

You will have great ability to solve practical problems and work with a variety of variables as well as form strong relationships with internal and externals stakeholders. You will be expected to come in with an analytical mindset.

You will be required to have a good understanding of financial markets and how your teams and others work together to successfully achieve positive outcomes for clients.

Some other key skills that you’ll have:

  • Proficient knowledge and awareness on how to apply defined technical and operational procedures
  • Excellent communication skills to be able to provide clear verbal and written communication to staff, clients, and other senior stakeholders
  • Experience in account management in a financial services environment. Experience in shareholder communications services (including proxy solicitation services) will be highly regarded
  • Proven ability to engage and consult with a wide range of stakeholders
