ADJUNCT INSTRUCTOR
Occupational Therapy Program
Department of Rehabilitation, Exercise, and Nutrition Sciences

The University of Cincinnati’s Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) Program, currently in the applicant stage of the accreditation process with the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE), is searching for adjunct faculty to provide course instruction.  Courses vary by semester but may include:

  • Pediatric Occupational Therapy Evaluation and Treatment
  • Functional Anatomy and Kinesiology
  • Pathophysiology
  • Mental Health Evaluation and Intervention in Occupational Therapy
  • Occupational Therapy Administration and Management
  • Orthotics / Hand Rehabilitation
  • Professional Decision Making / Clinical Reasoning

Responsibilities may include course instruction consistent with the accreditation standards of the ACOTE, grading assignments, monitoring student participation, participation in weekly conference calls and office hours, adherence to program and college policies and procedures, and maintaining communication with occupational therapy program faculty, staff, and students.

Position Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Doctoral degree is preferred, but candidates with a Master degree will be considered. 
  • Three years of occupational therapy clinical experience. 
  • Professional credentials in occupational therapy must be in good standing. 

Teaching experience, classroom or clinical, is preferred.  Candidates should also have computer and internet literacy and be comfortable with online instructional methods as well as the ability to work through minor trouble-shooting issues alone or with the help of technology support staff.
