The Hospital:

The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) provides secondary and tertiary care to children and young people across the northern and western suburbs; specialist paediatric healthcare to the children of Victoria, Tasmania, southern NSW and parts of South Australia; and is the designated state-wide provider of services including paediatric trauma, rehabilitation and forensic medicine. As a quaternary centre for complex cardiac surgery and organ transplantation, the RCH cares for the sickest children from around Australia.

The Position:

An exciting opportunity is avaialble to join the administration team supporting the Paediatric Infant and Perinatal Retreival service at RCH.  This part time ongoing position would suit applicants with a moderate level of experience in office adminstration.  It involves supporting PIPER internally as well as liasing with external stakeholders across the paediatric, maternity and neonatal health services in Victoria.

To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, being able to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders, as well as patients and families
  • At least 3 years' experience in providing high level administrative support in a team setting
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to multi task and deal with competing demands
  • Well developed keyboard skills including word processing, power point, excel and desktop publishing
  • Knowledge of Medical terminology
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate initiative and forward thinking.
