The Non-Clinical Workforce provide casual administration, ward clerk and sectorial support to all units/departments at Bendigo Health. Casual placements may be on our acute (Bendigo Hospital) campus, Lucan Street, Anne Caudle Campus on Barnard Street, John Bomford Centre (Strathdale) or in our aged care facilities throughout Bendigo.  Casual staff are expected to report to the relevant manager or supervisor on the day that they are required to attend work. Specific instructions regarding the duties to be undertaken will be provided at this time.

The position is based on employees being available to work on a casual basis at short notice. A mobile phone is required of all employees to obtain shifts sent out by the KRONOs SMS Quick fill system. All employees on the Non-Clinical workforce must be committed to work 2 shifts per week and a minimum of 2 shifts per month, this will be reported on monthly by the Coordinator of the Non-Clinical workforce and employees will be contacted if the minimum requirements are not met. To maintain a part time position in conjunction with the Non-Clinical Workforce applicants must be contracted at 56 hours per fortnight or less.

If successful for a position at Bendigo Health you must provide evidence of your full immunisation record as part of the on boarding process.

01.Certificate III in Business Administration and experience in a healthcare / medical practice environment

02.Explain your experience with performing basic data entry and ability to learn new systems and procedures quickly.

03.Explain your experience with basic medical terminology and experience in patient records including admissions, discharges and transfers

04.Describe your experience with arranging and scheduling appointments and your ability to priortise work, meet deadlines and manage time effectively.

05.Are you available to work on an on call/casual basis and at short notice? If yes - list your availability e.g. days and times

06.To meet the needs of Bendigo Health, we require our casual employees to be available at least 2 day per week, and perform a minimum of 2 shifts per month. I understand that I will be removed from the Non-Clinical Workforce if this requirement is not met. Do you meet this requriement?

07.Mobile Phone – A mobile phone is required so that text messages can be received from Kronos SMS Quick Fill. Do you meet this requirement?

09.Please indicate your areas of experience in Administration (Execuite Assistant, Personal Assistant, Ward Clerk, Administration Support) and the units at Bendigo Health that you are suitable to pick up shifts in.

10.Please provide details of your current manager and a second professional referee who will be contacted regarding reference checking prior to your transfer to the Non-Clinical Workforce. NOTE: Please include referee's contact name, position, phone, email and relationship to applicant.

11.Are you willing to complete a Data Entry and Typing test? NOTE: This is a requirement of joing the Non-Clinical Workforce.

12.Have you had a PRDP (Performance Review and Development Plan) completed within the last 12 months by your current manager?
