Job Summary
Reporting to the Associate Chief Operating Officer for Service Lines, the Administrative Director of Pediatrics and Obstetrics and Gynecology (“AD”) is responsible for the administrative, operational, strategic and financial functions of multiple physician practices and clinics working directly with practice managers and providers. The AD will be responsible for advanced program development, outreach business generation, innovation and operational excellence of patient and customer services and experiences. Strategically assess market and population mission needs, and promotes business expansion through marketing and liaison with business entities. Seeks out business opportunities to increase the financial, quality and health value success of all services in the portfolio. Responsible for creating optimal access, quality and safety for all services. Responsible for business and financial analysis, revenue cycle, coding, performance and production measures for the Departments. Supervises assigned administrative and medical personnel in the Departments. Prepares and assists with all regulatory reviews, ensuring compliance and adherence to hospital and departmental policies, objectives and operational procedures. Additionally, responsible for developing, implementing, assessing, refining and enhancing the Department’s inpatient and outpatient continuous process improvement strategy and reporting applications and capabilities, including the build out of robust dashboards and standard work systems that monitor clinical quality, medical cost, key trends, program tracking, and strategic, operational and financial performance.

Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Health Administration, Nursing, Public Health or related field required. Master's degree preferred. Experience: Seven (7) years of healthcare administration experience required. Three years of management/supervisory experience required. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Communication skills to interact effectively with Denver Health’s current service/client base, prospective customers, and all levels of Denver Health management. The Ability to perform financial analyses including forecasting, assisting in exploring strategic options and developing creative solutions to complex business issues. The ability to interpret and analyze financial and statistical information. The ability to systematically gather information from a variety of sources, analyze information, identify implications of data, draw appropriate conclusions, generate viable alternative solutions to a question or problem and evaluate the consequences of choosing each alternative. Knowledge of accreditation standards and compliance requirements. The ability to direct profit and loss, revenue generation, and expenditure control to optimize the utilization of resources at minimum cost.
