The Role
The role will be focused on Agency partnerships to drive commercial revenue across all Hearst digital platforms and products including (but not limited to) Content Partnerships, Display, Hearst First Audience, Data, Programmatic and Social. There are several external and internal stakeholders to manage, and Digital growth to deliver digital sales revenue. This role will report into the Group Head – Digital and will also work with in a Matrix Management environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Agency Revenue Growth
* Execute agency strategy as set by Group Head for maintenance, growth and new business clients.
* Work with team to deliver revenue growth across agencies.
* Maintain a constant focus on short and long term revenues.
* Be familiar with detail of all client and agency trading contracts.
* Support Group Head on trading rates that come out of the relevant agency across all brands if not already part of Group Agency contract.
* Manage value effectively and efficiently across the agency referencing existing contracts.
* Management of agency rate database.
* To work with the rest of the Agency Hub to support them in selling in cross-platform and Digital opportunities.
* Work with your Group Head and wider Agency Hub to execute agency strategy.
Reporting
* Effective use of all relevant reporting business systems.
* Weekly Reporting to Group Head, Digital on meetings, opportunities and activity.
Agency Ambassador
* Provide excellent levels of customer service
* Cultivate relevant agency relationships to ensure Hearst are front-of-mind across both planning, buying and partnership/solutions teams.
* Ensure Agency are updated on all Hearst news and initiatives.
* Be expert on all elements of your Agencies and their client’s business and share this knowledge internally where relevant.
* Coordinate with the Hub’s Creative Solutions team to deliver best-in-class pitches.
* Consistently push new and innovative ideas across all relevant digital platforms and Hearst Digital brands.
* Ensure key business contacts are up to date and knowledgeable on the Hearst brand portfolio assuring Hearst is front of mind for planning/buying/partnership teams.
* Work with Group Head and Agency team to oversee effective digital campaign management from booking through to completion of campaign with relevant reporting.
Hearst Ambassador
* Depth and understanding of all Hearst brands and their place within the market.
* Produce case studies around outstanding work ensuring positive results are incorporated.
* Liaise with all departments within Hearst and be seen as key go to person for agency opportunities.
* Promote overall excellence across Hearst through innovation, creativity and effectiveness.
About You:
* Proven success in driving RFP’s.
* Proven negotiation skills with the ability to close complex partnerships.
* Strong experience in digital sales.
* Expert knowledge of the evolution and landscape of digital sales.
* Solid experience adapting to industry changes.
* Experience in generating broad agency deals.
