Summary & Role Information

We are looking for a Developer who is familiar with modern programming concepts. If you are interested to use the latest concepts of cloud development such as microservices, Kubernetes, service mesh, and others to solve enterprise requirements, this is your chance to make an impact on a big scale at SAP. In detail, the following expectations and tasks describe your role:

• You contribute to the implementation of Proof of Concepts to evaluate latest technology.

• You work together with a team in an agile process. We expect you to collaborate strongly as well as to be able to work individually.

• You are excited to learn about new technologies and evaluate how they can help in the context of our applications.

• You build Frontrunner applications to directly provide customer value and get real world experience for new technologies.

Experience / Role Requirements

Required qualifications are:

• Good knowledge of Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or other modern programming languages

• Good experience with object-oriented programming, common data structures and algorithms

• Experience with agile software development processes (Kanban, XP, Scrum)

• Good degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field (Bachelor / Master)

• Fluent in English (written and verbal), able to clearly communicate ideas and concepts

What we consider beneficial:

• Understanding of modern cloud application development and distributed systems (e.g. with Kubernetes, microservices, Serverless)

• Experience with DevOps, continuous integration and delivery

• Experience with operating cloud applications in production

Work Experience

We are looking for candidates with 2-10 years of professional experience.

As part of the Product Engineering Intelligent Enterprise and Cross Architecture organization at SAP, we evaluate latest technologies for product-development-readiness and enable easier product development in the cloud.
