  • Edison Analytics is a software product that is used by owners and operators of battery fleets to improve their business metrics like degradation rate, efficiency, downtime and market revenue

What you need to know

  • You will be working in an environment driven by product roadmap, which in turn is driven by emerging needs of our customers
  • The role comes between research and implementation - both go hand in hand
  • Performance is measured in terms of usefulness of the algorithms to the customer - how much savings or revenue were generated by the customer by the algorithms
  • Our team members are located in Mumbai, Grenoble and Los Angeles

How will a typical workday look like

  • You will have a sprint plan for the month with your deliverables clearly define
  • You will check out the code from repository, and start working on it
  • You will draw schematics/flow diagrams of the algorithms and share it with the team during standups
  • You will push your changes to the code repository for review and deployment on the product
  • You will take feedback from the customers on usefulness of the implemented algorithm (or feature) and work towards improving its accuracy or usefulness (and this cycle will repeat)
  • You will come up with new ideas for the product, share it with team and develop it for deployment on the product

Who we are looking for

  • We are looking for battery engineers who can write algorithms related to battery degradation, efficiency, maintenance, downtime and so on
  • These algorithms need to be developed in Python for deployment on our cloud based product Edison
  • The algorithms will be using inputs from actual customer data (coming from large scale energy storage systems or electric vehicle fleets)
  • The output from these algorithms will help customers improve their business metrics like augmentation costs, replacement costs, downtime and so on

How can you tell if you are a great fit for this role

  • You have worked on development of algorithms like SoH, SoC, impedance in Li Ion batteries
  • You are good at Python (for both ingesting data and then using it)
  • You are product oriented and like to see your work being used in the market
