Acting as an application manager this person will be responsible for keeping environment stable by supporting with minimal impact service recovery and act upon problems to avoid recurrence by improving environment robustness with enhanced monitoring and planning/executing on patching/enhancements for basic software as well; support initiatives to enhance system integration capabilities leveraging on available standard integration tools as part of specific projects; improve overall automation/productivity with adoption of standard toolset for DEVOPS purposes, streamlining E2E release process; assure policies and procedures applicable related to components obsolescence and vulnerabilities are being properly followed (black duck, Vas, GEMs, patching, among others); assure contingency plan is successfully executed and COB environment is up-to-date and ready for utilization whenever required as well as tested as per Citibank recurrent tests policies applicable.
Responsibilities:
Utilize knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts, and basic knowledge of other technical areas to identify and define necessary system enhancements, including using script tools and analyzing/interpreting code
Consult with users, clients, and other technology groups on issues, and recommend programming solutions, install, and support customer exposure systems
Apply fundamental knowledge of programming languages for design specifications.
Analyze applications to identify vulnerabilities and security issues, as well as conduct testing and debugging
Serve as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts
Identify problems, analyze information, and make evaluative judgements to recommend and implement solutions
Resolve issues by identifying and selecting solutions through the applications of acquired technical experience and guided by precedents
Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Qualifications:
2-5 years of relevant experience in the Financial Service industry
Intermediate level experience in Applications Development role
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirement
Analyst profile – willing to know business behind the code, questioner

Technical Skills
Java Senior/Full programmer
Unit tests coding experince (ex JUnit)
Functional testing automation using Selenium (prefereable, or equivalent tool)
Oracle database programing experience – preferable for large data volume applications (that require performance/tunning) and stored procedures coding expertise/experience
Software quality testing previous experience
Websphere experience (configuration/setup and advanced knowledge of the overall environment)
Proven experience in an Information Technology environment (any / multiple disciplines, such as infrastructure, application support, development, testing, etc.)
Proven experience as software architect and with one or more of the following: IBM WebSphere Application Server, IBM HTTP Server, Oracle, IBM MQ, Storage, Operational Systems (Linux, Windows) as well as a developer including software development lifecycle as well with continuous integration and continuous delivery toolset (such as but not limited to JIRA, Git, Sonar, uDeploy, Jenkins, Openshift, Docker, among others).
Experience with one or more of the following languages: Java, SQL, Python, Linux Shell Scripts
Production support experience (preferable L3, specialist)
Change request control and management previous experience (coordination of important system releases/infrastructure changes)

Quality tests software design proven experience
Financial industry knowledge (funds, stocks)
Taxation knowledge, mainly related to stocks
Fluent Spanish
