Job Description
Altisource Originations Services (AOS) provides support services to residential mortgage banking businesses. This position reports directly to the Team Leader.
Responsibilities include:
Responsibilities include:
- Maintain a working knowledge of US Mortgage Originations closing procedures, federal and state lending laws.
- Interpret state rules, statute laws, federal regulations & investor guidelines and apply them to specific loans.
- Review all property documents (appraisal, purchase agreement, title, insurance, etc.) for accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure that the property is structurally sound, meets agency guidelines & client overlays and determine the soundness and accuracy of the property appraisal report.
- Review the title & insurance documents to ensure sufficient coverage and all encumbrances, clouds on title have been adequately addressed.
- Audit the property documents from a salability standpoint on a daily basis and note any exceptions. Assess risk and review for Frauds and Red Flags.
- Effectively communicate with US based Underwriters/Clients & SMEs to ensure quality output
- Meet or exceed productivity standard for new loan files audited per day
- 100% accuracy with finding defects and errors on files audited

Typing Speed: 40 WPM with 98% accuracy
Subject matter test and interview
- Bachelor's degree
- A strong knowledge of mortgage loan documents.
- More than 2 year of experience in residential mortgage loan processing
- Experience in reviewing loan collateral documents would be preferable
- Have well developed oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Be detail oriented and organized to find defects in files
- Be proficient in Microsoft applications and open to learning and applying new software applications quickly
