Finance Analyst: Operations

Position Summary:

Responsible for preparation, analysis & reporting of various key indicators for the site (Leverkusen)/ business. Ensure timely and accurate KPI/MI reporting to Site Leadership to enable decision making.

Job Description:

Tasks and responsibilities of the position

• Align self with Senior Leadership long & short term strategy and work towards making it a reality
• Periodic (monthly/ quarterly/ yearly) reporting & documentation (Tolling/ inventory reporting)
• Participation in Annual Operating Plan (AOP) process
• One pager update/ KPI preparation for the Site Leadership
• Routine analysis of production variances (material/conversion) by site by BU
• Preparation of Off spec/Scrap by material by site by BU
• Ensure accuracy of the reporting process through an effective review mechanism which is consistent and compliant with the process
• Support decision making & improve financial reporting by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal Momentive operational policies
• Work closely as a Business Partner to deliver value by establishing & enforcing policies & procedures, providing trends & forecast by Site/BU
• Drive self towards building standardized processes within the Sector operations finance to ensure Companywide consistency
• Drive Lean (CI) in Operations Finance projects/reports through POU (Point of Use) event : use of automation, TABLEAU etc

Additional Details:

Key Metrics Role is Accountable For: Ensure timely & accurate reporting for Site Operational Finance. Work closely with Sector & Plant Finance to produce periodic reporting of key metrics & other indicators to aid senior management in decision making.

Key Relationships: Sr. Manager Site Ops. Finance/ Functional Managers / IT

Basic Qualifications:B.Com or M.Com with 6-7 years of overall experience with a minimum of 4 yrs experience in the operational domain.

Preferred Qualifications: SAP & BW knowledge, MS-Office, particularly Excel & PPT required, Experience in TABLEAU will be a plus
