This is your opportunity to play an instrumental role in the evolution of GS1’s technology platform into a cloud-based modernized architecture.

The Enterprise Architecture Analyst/Manager will play an important role within the Enterprise Architecture team in assessing new opportunity requests submitted by business departments and facilitating towards appropriate solutions. The Enterprise Architecture Analyst is expected to lead the analysis of opportunities as well as competently handle various assigned initiatives and project work, provide a high level of service / engagement via stakeholder management and quality requirements and process documentation, as well as take part in other duties, as needed and assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Increase visibility and understanding of how business functions and IT are interconnected
  • Support the development of standards, tools, and governance required to create and manage short term and long-term architecture blueprints that align technology initiatives with business objectives and outcomes
  • Consistent alignment of new IT capabilities and definition of organizational standards
  • As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:
    • Support the implementation of right-sized architecture framework, templates and governance processes to maintain system architecture documentation and ensure consistency across the organization
    • Implement architecture tools as required, and help develop usage guidelines, best practices, and processes to facilitate adoption and the ongoing timely maintenance of architectural artifacts
    • Assist in documenting existing as-is architecture and technology portfolio
    • Support projects in creation of architectural documents and roadmaps as needed
    • Interact with architecture and technology lead within projects to identify architectural exceptions and bring forward for discussion
    • Schedule and coordinate the Architecture Review Board (ARB) meetings
    • Work with all relevant stakeholders to ensure artefacts are prepared and submitted for the ARB meetings and capture and publish meeting minutes
    • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Technology, and project teams to ensure consistency of approach while maintaining governance requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Undergraduate degree in engineering, system design, or equivalent
  • 3+ years of work experience in a business or technology transformation function, ideally within an Enterprise Architecture group
  • Experience working with enterprise architecture principles and practices and familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman
  • Solid understanding of Cloud Technologies and experience working with cloud governance models and tools;
  • Ability to write clear and succinct documents and to create engaging diagrams
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication, problem solving and project management skills
  • Work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to communicate with customers, vendors and partners, and across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to interact, develop, engineer and communicate at the highest technical levels of organizational decision-making
  • Ability to build and work with multi-disciplinary teams to achieve goals and to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Works well under pressure and time constraints and can prioritize competing priorities appropriately
  • Strong overall business and technical acumen
  • Ability to effectively navigate and deliver results in a large and complex environment is a must
  • Strong forward thinking, analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain concepts and topics in layman’s terms to non-subject matter experts and build consensus and credibility among diverse stakeholder groups
  • Able to work expeditiously as an individual contributor and as a team member
  • Ability to coordinate, prioritize and complete multiple tasks
  • Working knowledge on and experience with agile practices and deliverables
  • Exceptional MS Office skills
