The Aboriginal Family Violence Legal Service (AFVLS) is a program of Djirra. AFVLS provides legal and non-legal assistance and facilities access to justice for Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander people who have experienced family violence or sexual assualt across Vicotira. Djirra supports Aboriginal women's journey to safety and wellbeing, Djirra is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation with a rich history, and we are growing our services across regional Victoria.

In 2017, Djirra initiated an internal design, monitoring and evaluation capacity building program across its community development programs and AFVLS. An evaluation needs assessment was conducted for AFVLS due to increasing internal and external reporting requirements and organisational commitment to build an evidence base to support service design, improvement and advocacy. In response to this, a new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Reporting Analyst. This position is part time (0.6 FTE) and will focus on the management of multiple data base and systems, including but not limited to:

* CLASS database (Community Legal Assistance Services System)

* SHIP

* TRAM and;

* improving data collection, analysis and internal and external reporting processes.

In addition this role will also contribute to the broader AFVLS outcomes and monitoring and evaluation framework.

Djirra is committed to Child Safety and as part of Djirra's screening requirements all staff must have (or are able to obtain) a Working With Childrens Check and a National Police Check. You must also be able to demonstrate an understanding of Child Safety.

Requirements

A tertiary qualification in computer science, data science, statistics or related discipline or related industry experience is essential.

Applicants who have had previous professional experience in a similar capacity within a Community Legal Centre or within community services will be highly regarded.

The applicant will also need to have the experience in interacting with and using data capture systems and with disparate databases and systems to design and build comprehensive reports.

Experience in determining standards and maintaining data integrity throughout the reporting process and skills in data visualisation and presentation to diverse audiences is also essential.

Demonstrated skills in the use of reporting and data analytic tools and the ability to translate data for dissemination to a wide variety of audiences will also be a requirement of the role.

Applicants who have the demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aborginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and an ability to demonstrate cultural safety and cultural respect will be looked upon favourably.
