Why this role matters

To own and deliver a diverse  portfolio of recurring and ad hoc transactional, control and analytical tasks arising from the Internal trading activities carried on by the Bristol Finance Shared Service Centre

This role is to manage the Group Transfer Charging (GTC) team to deliver TITAN transactional processing, TITAN-ledger integrity together with the systems and processes supporting and enabling these workstreams. This includes overseeing TCA and Deal ID management, and ensuring all procedures are carried out compliantly with SOX control framework.

What you'll be doing

Role Specific

• Responsible for Journal Vetting the Internal Journals
• Reviewing the GL Recs produced by the Inputs team for accuracy
• Create the FX Journal (System work around)
• Complete Settlements (this is a check to ensure that all Titan Invoices have been settled properly)
• Ensuring data entered into GTH Portal is successfully imported to TITAN and managing any exceptions.
• Oversight of TCA and Deal ID management
• Awareness of SOX controls and ensuring all work is completed in a manner compliant with this framework.
• To be responsible for training/development of the GTC Apprentice
• TITAN Projects
• Line management for 4 members of the team

Standard Key responsibilities

• Deliver a range of month end close activities on time and to high standards of accuracy
• Analyse and improve both processes and systems
• Investigate and resolve complex problems
• Make sure reconciliations and controls are performed to high standards of accuracy
• Apply high levels of internal customer service and work closely with the business finance teams.
• Organise the work of team members and finance professionals in line with team manager’s direction
• Ensure team members, apprentices and finance professionals are coached and trained

• A Qualified or near Qualified accountant - essential
• Excellent communication skills, verbal, written and IT - essential
• Advanced excel skills, and a high degree of IT literacy in general – essential
• Experience of accounting software such as Oracle, or similar ERP systems – essential
