In-Country Analyst (part-time)

(Period: 6 months and above, long-term preferred)

(Location: China, homebased)

We are looking for research champions who have strong interest in the FMCG industries to join us as In-Country Analyst (part-time) in Euromonitor. Selected applicants will be trained and versed in Euromonitor’s renowned research methodologies to produce high quality reports for our clients and meet deadline at the same time.

【Work Responsibilities】:

  • Conduct Secondary Research on industries/companies/consumer trends (10%);
  • Store-visits to various retail outlets to track brand/product information (10%);
  • Conduct Trade Interviews /discussions via phone (cold-call) with companies and associations within various industries (especially FMCG industry) and build on existing contact list, find out industrial insights and market trends via discussion with the experts (50%);
  • Engage in data calculations, analysis and estimations to develop national size/shares/data (5%);
  • Forecast future consumer goods market trends, changes and developments (5%);
  • Preparation and writing of company/industry reports (20%);
  • Working closely with project manager on a regular basis to ensure delivery of high-quality research outputs

Please note that assignments may vary on different projects and may not consist of the whole list of tasks mentioned above.

Required Skills


  • Commit at least 24 hours per week during working hours (from Monday to Friday)
  • Comfortable in conducting interviews/discussion via phone with companies
  • Strong analytical and numerical abilities
  • Language proficiency both in Chinese and English, Cantonese a plus
  • Able to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Proven market research skills
