Responsibilities:

Responsible for ensuring that the company’s inventory assets and accounts receivable are adequately controlled by performing physical inventory counts, accounts receivable verification work and providing inventory management training. Analysts are expected to protect the company’s two largest assets through analysis, evaluation and by using independent discretion to determine financial obligations between the company and the dealer, make inventory and pricing adjustments, and act as an expert consultant on inventory control matters.

  • Take complete physical inventory at stores using hand-held scanners to scan bar coded tags. Using a variance report, research, analyze and reconcile each item.
  • Upon request from management, conduct cash audits in retail stores.
  • Evaluate and report on store adherence to policies and procedures in inventory and accounts receivable related areas.
  • Update the store inventory after determining the disposition of each item on the variance report. Evaluate the inventory update process to determine if items were added to or deleted from inventory in error and make inventory adjustments to correct errors, if necessary.
  • Identify and correctly tag untagged and incorrectly tagged merchandise.
  • Determine what, if any, charges are to be levied against a store regarding inventory shrink.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field.
  • Clean, valid drivers license and ability to travel and stay overnight.
  • Two years basic accounting, auditing or inventory control experience.
  • One year retail experience (helpful)
