Structured Credit Trading (SCT) is involved in sourcing and deploying secured funding on a variety of asset classes, illiquid credit trading, secondary market making in securitizations and structured finance assets, and structuring and placement of primary issuances with investors globally.

Based in Hong Kong, SCT is seeking an Analyst trader to support and partner with the global team across a broad range of key initiatives and overall desk activities and transactions, research and quantitative modeling in credit space (primarily structured finance and exotic credit).


Key Responsibilities:
+ Suport experienced team-mates in monitoring and risk-managing the exposures in the Global Funding Book from existing trades and from potential transactions, including to Credit, FX, Rates, Funding risks
+ Source, originate and identify potential opportunities with Investment Banking Division (IBD) and credit sales across New York, EMEA and Asia
+ Be involved in a high volume of exotics trading, hedging, pricing suggestions in line with Firm policy and with an emphasis on protecting the Firm’s risk exposures
+ Partner with team-mates to estimate daily gains and losses made by the desk based on market moves and underlying risks and reconcile the estimated gains/losses with desk controllers on a daily basis
+ Support team-mates with analysis of credit quality of structured transactions
+ Work integrally with the global structured credit trading desk and work with ongoing live transactions
+ Be flexible to work on a wide variety of different trade types at the same time, with attention to detail and quantitative rigour
+ Understand the Firm’s funding books and propose funding optimization opportunities in conjunction with Trading and Quant Strategies team across regions
Basic Qualifications
+ A bachelor’s degree in science or engineering or equivalent qualification with an excellent academic record
+ Ideally 1-2 years of relevant trading experience with leading financial institutions or international trading firms
+ Quantitative aptitude
+ Highly analytical with ability to deliver under pressure
+ Ability to collaborative with a wide range of stakeholders with strong communication skills in English
+ Solid work ethics with high levels of motivation
+ Entrepreneurial and collaborative
