The Role:

Blackstone is seeking an Analyst/Associate in the Business Finance team based in the Hong Kong Office for a minimum 9 month contract period . Reporting to the Head of Business Finance in Blackstone Hong Kong, the Finance Analyst/Associate will be responsible for working closely with the Real Estate, Private Equity and Tactical Opportunities Groups’ acquisition and finance teams on deal execution and financial operations and management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the acquisitions and finance teams on deal execution and onboarding
  • Working closely with the team on funding and capital call calculations
  • Responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting tasks such as reviewing monthly management accounts of SPVs, reviewing quarterly NAV, reviewing annual financial statements and tax reporting packs
  • Liaising on audits and working closely with service providers and auditors
  • Preparing fund flows files for funding, repatriations and distributions
  • Reviewing transaction documents
  • Analyzing project specific costs and T&E
  • Involvement in proposals on cash management and financial reporting framework for new deals
  • Ah hoc tasks as and when required


  • Chartered Accountant with 2 - 4 years’ of experience, ideally including time in a Big Four accounting firm or financial institution
  • Experience in the funds, asset management or private equity industries highly regarded
  • Regional Asia-Pacific experience (China, India, Korea, Australia, Korea, Singapore, Japan) is ideal
  • Effective communication across various functions and offices globally and hence possessing excellent interpersonal and communication skills in verbal and written English is a must
  • English and Chinese/2nd Asian language highly regarded
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint with fast and exact data processing skills
  • Highly self-motivated and able to effectively work as an individual contributor and possess strong analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking skills, and able to multitask and deliver under tight deadlines
  • A desire to work in an international team environment, often under pressure and with multiple stakeholders
  • Quick learner with the ability to quickly turnaround ad-hoc requests in a fast paced environment
  • Must operate with the highest level of integrity
  • Overseas working experiences is a plus
