About the Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for an Analyst to join our growing pharmacy group including our new nationally expanding Star Discount Chemist brand. 

Reporting to the Chief People Officer and working closely with the in-store Pharmacist Managers and Retail Managers, this role is responsible for analysing employment expenses and providing recommendations regarding staffing requirements to ensure the most cost-effective workforce across the group.

Inherent in the role is processing of payroll from time and attendance software to payment, review of rosters created in-store and analysing opportunities from sales and dispense heat maps to maximise the wages to sales budgets.

In this position, you will also be an important extension of the People Department, working with them on new acquisitions and other related projects.

Qualifications and experience: 

  • At least 2 years experience in analysing and planning staff rosters/schedules/wages/payroll;
  • Demonstrated experience using a variety of Rostering and/or time and attendance systems (i.e WageLoch; Kronos);
  • Payroll processing from time and attendance software to payment;
  • Payroll experience with calculating long service entitlements as required;
  • Competency in the use of computer software applications (advanced skills in Excel will be highly regarded);
  • Demonstrated budgeting skills and the capacity to extract, interpret and present financial and output/outcome performance data;
  • Accurate report writing skills with the ability to produce key information reports;
  • Experience in Award interpretation and understanding how to apply these when rostering/ changing of rostered hours (is highly regarded);
  • Finance or business qualifications at a tertiary level are highly regarded.
