JOB PURPOSE

We are looking for an experienced Digital Analytics Manager with a specific eCommerce and trade focus. Responsible for leading analysts in support of the trade and merchandising teams, you will support and drive data led initiatives with the goal of driving trade effectiveness on the Burberry digital platforms. Playing an active role in the weekly trading discussions you will analyse performance drivers and make recommendations, ensuring analytics features prominently in decision making.

You will focus on leading and developing a team who are solely responsible for the merchandising analytics across the Burberry digital platforms. Driving maximum value from the extensive datasets available and demonstrating expertise across Google Analytics, SQL and Tableau you will be joining an expanding team to continue the momentum in driving data into the core of merchandising and trade activities. Furthermore, you will be required to act as an analytics expert across your area of the business, helping to encourage a culture of data-driven decision making.

We will involve applying a project based approach to understanding and progressing the way we measure, report and action against stakeholder requirements. As such, you will need to manage multiple on-going and ad-hoc analyses or data requests from key business stakeholders. Alongside this you will be responsible for the maintenance and development of key reporting dashboards which are used to inform strategic and operational decision making on an on-going basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take ownership of, and extend, a suite of merchandising performance reports used on a daily basis to inform data-led merchandising.
  • Lead the reporting and analysis for the trading activities, presenting and providing recommendations on the performance of the eCommerce business.
  • Define and action the roadmap for your team, in alignment with business and stakeholder objectives, ensuring a progressive path for analytics within your stakeholder groups.
  • Perform management duties to support and develop the analysts you are responsible for, demonstrating core management and leadership skills.

PERSONAL PROFILE

  • Educated to BSc/MSc level (advanced degrees desirable)
  • Demonstrable experience in digital analytics within a retail environment and are able to manipulate analytics tools and software.
  • Experience of SQL & Google Analytics preferable.
  • Leadership experience required, preferably within an eCommerce environment and with a track-record of developing a team or project.
  • Ability to understand trade and performance data and communicate it in a concise and relevant way to various stakeholders.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of digital analytics data, measurement, methodologies and standards.
  • Experience in using at least one SQL programming language is necessary (SQL/ HQL/ Impala)
  • Knowledgeable of common dashboarding concepts and tools (Tableau)
  • Experience, understanding and interest in high level programming languages would be beneficial (Python, R, PySpark, JavaScript, NodeJS etc)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact and build a rapport with all people in the business.
  • Strong time management skills with an ability to work in a collaborative fashion while handling and prioritising multiple requests.
