Your challenge

What does a day as an Application Engineer look like?

It’s 8:30 am and you start travelling to your customer (today it’s a folding carton manufacturer). The customer has just bought Esko software (ArtiosCAD) and is keen to get it up and running as soon as possible.

After a quick coffee with the customer, it’s time to get the software installed on the customer’s servers, after a short alignment with the customer’s IT folks, the installation starts.

After lunch, it’s your job to get the future champion users trained to a level where they can use the software on their own. From your preparation, you know the needs of the customer, and you have a clear idea of how to train them with explaining basic concepts of the software, functionalities, practices.

Then you’ll start developing with the champions the required configuration leveraging your experience with best practices. At each customer this will be a new challenge, and you’ll use much more of the Esko product portfolio. Helping customers is what you enjoy the most in your role!

Our Application Engineers are an essential part of getting our customers up and running with our solutions, with their passion and know-how of Esko software as they dazzle the customer with their technical ability to train and configure even the most daring challenges in no time.

Owning the project on behalf of the customer is so important to you, as you are the face and voice of the customer within Esko. Getting the customer trained and involved during the training and the configuration is part of your natural empathy for customers. You’ll also love to learn, because this industry doesn’t stand still, so plugging in to the latest trends and mastering the newest technologies are just as important.

Each Application Engineer is part of a customer-centric team of regional experts, looking after Subject Matter Experts to enterprise customers within the territory. By giving the customer the best and most efficient onboarding experience, the Application Engineers helps Esko build a trusted partnership with the customer, whilst helping the customer to get the best value they can from the software.
