1.0 JOB PURPOSE
1.1 To plan, organise, direct and control the operation of VERTIV HK Service, Sales and Marketing relating to the industry to achieve sustainable and profitable growth in sales turnover year-on-year.
1.2 To provide the VERTIV HK Service Division with technical and engineering support
1.3 To provide help and guide to the sales team towards a culture of long term customer relationship, be analytical and professional in their approach and where possible strive for a win-win solution.
2.1 Take responsibility for the Technical Service team related activities and its development in Hong Kong.
2.2 Make VERTIV to customers preferred choice as trusted business partner by delivering quality and services on time.
2.3 To ensure continuous development of business in Hong Kong through excellent service, marketing activities and training.
3.0 DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
3.1 To provide our customers, partners and the sales organization with technical advice and guidance on Power (UPS, STS, PDU, etc) and to help them to design and build datacenters or computer rooms.
3.2 The candidate should be a technically qualified and competent engineer with good data-centre build and operation experience.
3.3 Act as pre-sales and post sales technical person on projects covering typically SMB and some larger accounts, working with the sales team and often channel partners.
3.4 Good communicator, able to work with his contacts with the consultant firms and contractors to influence our ability to provide solutions and win projects.
3.5 Provide consulting with customers and ensuring they are receiving the correct level of technical attention.
4.0 QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
4.1 Bachelor Degree in Electrical or Power Electronics Engineering or equivalent
4.2 Possess at least 10+ year experiences in electrical and power electronics with track records of design, maintenance, technical support or installation projects.
4.3 Previous working experiences in data centre construction related industries an advantage.
