The Business Intelligence team is a part of TELUS' Customer First strategy focused on making TELUS the easiest technology company to do business with.




As a member of the Business Intelligence team, you will be a key player in supporting senior leaders with clear recommendations, leveraging advanced analytics methods to improve performance in all areas of the business.



Working specifically in partnership with stakeholders from our Base Management and Operation teams, you will help identify customer experience improvement opportunities to drive loyalty and profitable growth.

Using customer insight and data, you’ll find and assess opportunities, to develop and support programs to resolve operational issues and create robust proactive programs for the future.



You will challenge the status quo by experimenting with new approaches, leveraging unexplored type of data from various systems, to better understand our customers and the way their equipment.


Here’s how




  • Understand our market, explore data, develop models, identify patterns, and turn it into actionable insights for the business. Present findings and conclusions using influencing skills & thought leadership to key stakeholders.



  • Unlock the power of the growing volume of data we capture from various systems, leveraging any type of information into analytics



  • With a strategic focus, prioritize and provide recommendations of what programs and activities to focus on



  • Build dashboards and presentations that will allow to visualize and understand our main areas for improvement, size the potential cost saving opportunities and implement the proper initiatives

  • Recognized for your collaboration with teams, and building relationships with partners



  • With the ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.



  • Known for your strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and problem solving skills



  • With a knack for presentation and storytelling, you craft clear, concise and compelling messages



  • Recognized for using data in a creative way, and developing models that bring value to the business



  • Known for your ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment



Great-to-haves




  • University degree in the field of computer science, information systems or business and a minimum of 4 to 6 years related work experience.



  • 3 plus years of business analyst experience



  • Very good knowledge of Excel and data manipulation with SQL, proficiency with Power point.



  • Good knowledge of Machine Learning methods, and working experience with R or Python



  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI or Qlick an asset



  • Ability to consult and communicate with senior management and to develop relationships with key internal and external contacts, and ability to work within cross functional teams.



  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
