The Security Solutions Sales Architect role is essential in supporting (technical) Microsoft and Security vendors, the central commercial team and local Microsoft Cloud and Security Organization in supporting business across the European region.
Supporting a European-wide community of experts, as well as supporting the busines with the with technical expertise and knowledge of the Microsoft and eco-system security portfolio
(as Microsoft Modern Workplace, Microsoft Azure and “Pure-Play” Security vendors) are part of the daily tasks.

This role’s primary responsibility is to work with the central Microsoft Cloud and Security team, Tech Data’s local sales and business development teams, vendors and technology partners to determine the business need, future trends/gaps and translating technical solutions into easy-to-grasp security propositions.

Key Characteristics

  • Works closely with Tech Data’s Microsoft Cloud & Security teams & external partners, providing technical support to ensure that business unit objectives are understood and supported by our offerings
  • Works closely with the European-wide Commercial Owners, supporting the GTM (including Tech Data Services and Solutions) and amplifying the Cross-Organization Security message
  • Supports proactively activities such as workshops, trainings, Security CPB events (reseller and end-user facing) in collaboration with local country teams
  • Enable Tech Data’ Microsoft Cloud and Security teams on the joint technology stack
  • Works with country teams, supporting opportunities with technical expertise, including scoping, planning, process diagrams and technical workshops

Experience, Skills, and/or Abilities Required:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, skill, and/or ability required.

  • +5 years of experience with a proven record of successfully conceptualizing, designing, and delivering end-to-end hardware/software/networking security solutions
  • Experience in architectures and technologies surrounding Microsoft Security
    Additional experience around Cisco, Proofpoint, Barracuda is a plus
  • Great presentation skills and the ability, to simplify complex matters to a level, so that business owners can make educated decisions on
  • Great team player, engaging with commercial and technical teams to achieve common goals
  • Proven record of supporting multi-vendor opportunities, helping to close deals
  • Able to work effectively in a multi-tasking environment; able to work constructively under stress and pressure
  • Proficiency in English
  • Microsoft Azure and MWP certifications or willingness to achieve them in the first 6 months
  • Security Certifications from other vendors are a plus
  • Demonstrated experience working for a Security MSP is a plus

Working Conditions:

  • Travel up to 25% including international
  • Languages: English is mandatory, and French considered a plus
