Business line Radio Frequency Processors within NXP Semiconductors. The Business line is clear market leader in Infotainment and Radar semiconductors and has a strong contribution to NXP profitability. At the core of our success is system knowledge, our RF-CMOS integration and embedded software/algorithms. In the past years, we have entered highly innovative and growing segment of driver assistance systems with innovations in Vehicle-to-anything communication and radar sensors. The Business Line comprises of three product lines: Infotainment, Advanced Driver Assistance systems and Personal Health.

Within Business Line (BL) Radio Frequency Processors (RFP), we are looking for an experienced AMS-SOC Design for Test  Architect to join our Design-for-test (Dft) team. The BL RFP is leading in mixed signal RF processors for car infotainment, Personal Health and radar applications. Bl RFP uses in state-of-the art solutions and designs in advanced RF-CMOS technologies. The primary responsibility of the AMS-DfT-Architect is to organize and implement a proper DfT Architecture in the design. He/she defines the test architecture across IC architecture, DfT, Design and Test & Product engineering disciplines, balancing cost and product quality. His/her focus is on complex AMS-SOC projects. The DfT-Architect is the technical lead of the DfT-implementation team and advises analog and digital IP designers and software engineers

Your Job:

  • Advises the system/hardware architect on testability provisions in the IC/IP architecture to enable high test coverage and easy test access.
  • Specifies chip level test concepts requirements (e.g. integrated test modules in digital and analogue IP’s, test access and control blocks, build - in self-test circuitries etc.).
  • Develops a test architecture which enables fast failure analysis and debug capability on IC/IP level. Aims for cost effectiveness and maximum reusability of test functionality and concepts.
  • Involved in the test verification and validation process of the product, to support this with test tools and to verify the anticipated fault models on relevance and completeness for usage in a DfT- and test verification context. engineers in the area of Design-for-Testability.
  • Core responsibilities include: definition of test strategy, definition of test architecture; definition of test structure; definition of testability requirements, definition of test cases, assessment of changes to testability and test coverage
  • Assists: prediction of Yield, Fall-off rate, Test time and Test cost; Supports test pattern verification, Test development and debug

Your Profile:

  • M.Sc. degree in Electronic Engineering or similar; Fluent in English
  • Proven track record in analog design - logic design (System Verilog and VHDL), ASIC design flow, clocking and reset methods
  • Familiar with Design-for-Test for mixed signal DfT methods - Good understanding of fault models, ATPG, scan insertion and compression techniques, BIST and JTAG - Experience with EDA tools
  • Desirable: Logical synthesis and static timing analysis
  • Experience with working in a multicultural and complex design environment
  • Open proactive communicator, enjoys interactive and iterative development process, Rigorous in documentation, challenges and improves design methodologies.
