Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic engineer to join Arm, and help to shape the future of technology and collaborate in the development of next-generation processors that fuel billions of devices worldwide.

Arm’s Sophia Antipolis design centre is located in one of the most beautiful parts of France, at the heart of Europe’s largest and most dynamic technology park. Surrounded by mountains and the Mediterranean Sea, this exceptional design centre has delivered leading products from Arm’s Cortex (TM) processor family.

As an Experienced CPU Micro-architect and Modelling Engineer, your main role will consist in developing an internal micro-architectural performance model, evaluating and validating various micro-architectural options in close collaboration with the design team. The activity spans from defining the original CPU micro-architecture that answers the product requirements, up to verifying and optimizing the CPU performance in the later stages of the project.

Job Requirements

Essential skills and experience

  • Solid foundation in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Engineering
  • Programming skills (C or C++)
  • Understanding of the fundamentals of CPU architecture
  • Habits of Linux environment
  • Good English interpersonal skills

Desirable skills and experience

  • Experience in CPU or System modelling
  • CPU performance analysis / benchmarking
  • Compilers and code generation techniques
  • Scripting skills in Python
