We
are seeking a suitably experienced and qualified Area
Manager
to join the Recovery & Recaust Team at our Tasman Mill.  Located
in the sunny Eastern Bay of Plenty, the Tasman Mill produces for both the local
and international markets.  This role
requires a dedicated and performance driven professional who has a good understanding of the requirements to
successfully lead and manage people and plant performance on a daily basis,
ideally in a large complex manufacturing facility. 

Reporting to the Business Unit Manager
– Steam & Recovery, the successful candidate will play a key role, to
ensure the Recovery & Recaust
area operates efficiently ensuring production and quality targets are achieved through
effectively leading and managing people, ensuring the area operates and
complies with Health & Safety & environmental policies and legislation
to deliver area and mill performance.

Key
responsibilities Include:

  • Leading
    and managing people
  • Managing
    plant performance
  • Utilising
    best practice procedures
  • Managing
    the inputs into the process
  • Supporting
    plant maintenance and reliability programmes.

The successful applicant will have the following attributes:

  • A tertiary
    qualification in Engineering, Process Technology or relevant industry
    experience
  • A track record in managing and leading a team
  • Experience in a large manufacturing/heavy process industry
  • Demonstrate
    strong internal and external stakeholder management skills
  • Strong business acumen
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A flexible work pattern appropriate to
    a continuous 24-hour manufacturing environment.
