As a Senior Technical Artist at Labster you will help our amazing Art team with your technical wizardry to create tools to improve the production efficiency and push the visual quality while having optimization in mind to make our simulation accessible for any student on both mobile, tablet and laptop devices globally, all while working with an agile mindset.
On a regular day, you will work closely with passionate and skilled cross-functional teams located both in Bali and Copenhagen.

Creating tools for the art teams to improve the production efficiency of 1000s of low-poly 3D animations, art assets, textures, characters, scenes etc.
Creating and optimizing high-performance shaders in Unity for mobile devices
Working on overall visual quality improvement across our 100s of simulation games.
Proactively supporting other team members when needed and helping artists find ways to improve their skills (e.g. optimizing art meshes, textures, characters, animations etc.)
Maintaining high standards of our workflow practices and enforcing best practices by art team (e.g. creating automated dashboards identifying low-performing art assets).
Taking an active part in team meetings: suggesting improvements, actively taking on new roles, providing constructive feedback, etc.
Proactively delivering new and inventive ideas that will support the art teams in efforts of solving day-to-day challenges.
Maintaining fun, collaborative and positive working relationships with the development team through regular team workshops.
Train/mentor other team members by creating 3D asset and animation production related documentation.
