NTU Centre for Contemporary Art Singapore (NTU CCA Singapore) is a national research centre for contemporary art of Nanyang Technological University. The Centre is a platform, host and partner for artistic research, education and critical discourse that focuses on the Spaces of the Curatorial. NTU CCA Singapore’s office and research centre is located at Gilman Barracks.
This key leadership role is both strategic and operational in nature and is a critical position in assisting the Centre Director to realise the goal and mission of the Centre. Working with the Centre’s team of staff, this role is charged with overseeing day to day management of the Centre, from programming, facilities, finance, grant and contract administration, HR, IT and reporting functions.
Assist the Centre Director in the management of CCA’s operations administration and delivery of programmes including finance, HR, grant administration, communications, events etc
Cultivate and build relationships with potential and strategic and funding partners
Monitor budgets cash flow and procurement in accordance with NTU guidelines and policies. Work with the finance manager and other senior managers for budgeting and financial reporting
Supervise both direct and line reports and ensure staff performance meets expectation and to ensure professional development opportunities are made available
Implement necessary infrastructure and processes to support NTU CCA Singapore's activities, including NTU policies and procedures, required NTU digital transformation projects and initiatives
Qualification and Competencies:
A University Degree or equivalent
At least 8 years' of relevant work experience in mid-to-large sized arts or educational institutions or public sector or similar
Strong analytical skills to interpret and assess financial and strategic organisational impacts
Strong and robust people skills and ability to represent the Centre in senior management or public settings
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with competing deadlines
Demonstrated ability to work with people from diverse ethnic, social and cultural backgrounds
Excellent verbal and written communications skills that are persuasive, influential and compelling
