Assistant Manager - Supply Chain

Location: Bangalore / Madurai / AmbasamudramRole PurposeThe position is part of the Asia Supply Chain Planning team, to support the forecasting process for Grey thread, (a key raw material) and related demand planning and supply planning activities for the Dyeing & Finishing units of Coats in Asia.Responsible of grey thread supply by centrally planning the overall level of Supply and Inventory for D&F units.Principal Accountabilities & Key ActivitiesŸ  Forecast revision, maintenance and updates for numerous Asia markets with a monthly ordering process for grey threadŸ  Establish sourcing plans for the plants ordering grey thread from different vendorsŸ  Measuring forecast accuracy for various manufacturing plantsŸ  Perform different analysis, tasks and support for Central planning with measurement of Grey thread KPIs, stocks and planningŸ  Continuous control over movements, consumption and necessary follow-upsŸ  Necessary responses/ reactions to changes made by suppliers, and reacting to any demand changes by optimizing stock levels/ projected stocksŸ  Review GT forecasts and action any necessary consumption overrides in SAP APOŸ  Supervise the Masterdata settings for grey thread items in SAPŸ  Follow-up and implementing necessary changes to sourcing matrix, changes to transportation lane settingsŸ  Establish and maintain continuous and close communication with both vendors and customersŸ  Prepare list of unsatisfied sales orders and raw materials on the rationing list for daily information to Bulk Processing units and Customer service unitsŸ  Prepare Grey Thread Forecasting performance reports for Asia unitsŸ  Analyse vendor performance to highlight problem areas and continuously tune lead-time settings for procurement planningŸ  Continuously keep oneself updated about the latest SOPs and processes related to Grey Thread PlanningProcess-Check Performance Vs Expected outcome across D&F GT PlanningRemit includes Demand Planning, Supply Planning for D&F unit assigned.Root Cause Analysis of poorer performing areas with recommended actions and coordination of fixesPeople-  Communicate with all relevant departments in relation to achieving plan-Procurement/ Local markets/ Central FG Planners & Schedulers/ GTS units/ key vendors/ Global GT Planning teamReporting: All relevant reporting for functionEducation, Qualifications and ExperienceŸ  University DegreeŸ  Relevant Supply Chain QualificationŸ  Good understanding of thread manufacturingŸ  Structured thinking, attention to detail, and ability to take ownership and initiative.Ÿ  Proficiency in ExcelŸ  Strong medium and long term planning skillsŸ  Proficiency in logical data analysisŸ  Good written communication skills & fluent English
