We actively seek a Assistant Manager / Manager - Finance resident in our Hyderabad Location.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for ensuring the integrity of all accounting and finance activities for our India operations by providing functional expertise, business sense, leadership, and a strong desire to improve processes and controls. Supports Principal Manager, Finance in day to day activities, including maintaining financial records, Assisting in month end reporting, liaising with Bankers and auditors etc. Typically uses a variety of computer software and systems to perform duties. Works closely with the team and provide the required information and details for management decisions. Coordinates with the team and delivers in time with accuracy. Exercises judgment in selecting and applying established procedures correctly and in determining when to refer problems to the supervisor.

Accounting and Reporting:

  • Ensure all accounting close and reporting deadlines established by corporate and local regulations are met consistently and on a timely basis.
  • Regularly review the financial accounting records prepared by the outside accountants for accuracy and compliance with internal accounting policies. Ensure that they are properly uploaded to our accounting system
  • Review and approve all business expense reports and all vendor invoices.
  • Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 for areas of responsibility including maintaining process documentation.
  • Assist with audits (corporate, statutory, controls, etc.) as well as other outside accounting requirements.

Tax Planning and Management:

  • Ensure intercompany agreements’ terms and settlements are paid and current.
  • Review and approve tax filings prepared by external accounting provider and in liaison with corporate tax in the U.S.
  • Ensure proper application of transfer pricing rates whilst ensuring local compliance

Treasury and Cash Management:

  • Ensure that cash is properly forecasted, and that the bank account is correctly funded to meet the payment deadlines, with regular liason with the U.S. based treasury team.

Financial Analysis:

  • Partner with corporate FP&A to interpret and provide analysis of financial reports and information for internal non-finance personnel related to budgeting, expenditures, coding, and document preparation for accounting activities

Financial Systems:

  • Participate in the implementation and ongoing enhancements of the company’s financial systems (MicroSoft Dynamics AX., Adaptive Planning, Concur, ReadSoft, Qlikview, etc.).

Ad Hoc Projects:

  • Perform special projects or ad hoc analyses, as required.

Additional Duties and responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain working relationships across Finance, Legal, HR, and other organizations.
  • Be able to lead, manage and execute on special projects as needed, and across various functions


Location

  • Hyderabad, India

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Chartered Accountant and/or MBA is highly preferred

Experience

  • At least 8+ years of professional experience including management, and technology industry experience. Software industry experience is a plus.
  • Recent public company experience is ideal.
  • Experience working with large general ledger (ERP) systems (Microsoft AX experience is a plus), business intelligence tools

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-growing environment where change is the norm; strong multi-tasking skills, and flexibility to switch from one project to the next quickly
  • Ability to produce complex, detailed accounting reconciliations and analysis
  • Outstanding interpersonal,communication, and business partnering skills with demonstrated ability to work cross functionally and at various levels within a company.
  • Ability to analyze large quantities of complex data and research accounting data through sub-ledgers and the GL and draw logical conclusions
  • Demonstrable understanding of multi-relational impact of the Balance Sheet, P&L and Cash Flow Statement and how journal entries affect each statement
  • Must demonstrate strong leadership skills, high energy, initiative and creativity
