Current Opportunity:

We are currently seeking an accomplished Assistant Manager/ Manager to join our growing leadership team. In this role, you will provide business services advice to range of organisations, and have the opportunity to partner with clients and work collaboratively to meet the needs of their business.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Preparation of complex financial statements and consolidated financial statements
• Preparation and analysis of complex management accounting reports
• Review of team work papers
• Assisting with the design, development and analysis of financial reporting models
• Conducting tax compliance reviews of tax returns, FBT returns, GST and Payroll tax
• Review of tax returns for all types of entities
• Advising on tax planning issues, implementing tax planning and savings ideas for clients
• Setting budgets for specific jobs and explaining parameters and scope to team
• Monitoring team productivity and assessing recoverable time, taking steps to improve
• Supervision and management of the team, including conducting staff Performance Development Reviews

Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required:

• At least 6 years business services experience in a chartered environment. Experience in the mid tier environment is advantageous
• Degree qualified in Accounting and CA qualified
• Achieves successful outcomes through clear and effective communications and the ability to relate to others
• Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
• Is driven and assumes responsibility and accountability
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Provides strong motivation to inspire a high performing team and a positive team culture
• Client focused
• Ability to monitor progress and remain 'across' jobs; owning them and striving to adhere to short and long term deadlines
• Strong attention to detail
• Is willing and driven, takes a proactive approach
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and accounting software
