The business addresses the built environment and infrastructure markets, in tandem with the technical capabilities of the firm, and has strong credentials in the provision of its “core” services, including Program & Project Management.


About you
Degree qualified with approximately 3-5 years of experience in project management related roles, ideally gained in an engineering, architecture or contract administration environment. You may also come from and civil/infrastructure engineering role, looking to transition into a dedicated project management role. Eligible or working towards professional membership accreditation of AIPM (CPPM), or chartership.
You will bring the following experience and competencies:
• Project Management competency to manage integration, scope, time, cost, quality, human resources, communications, risk and procurement;
• Capability and ability to independently undertake project analyses, and report on results;
• Experience in managing key projects as part of a team, including assisting with the management of multi-disciplinary project teams;
• Exceptional communication skills which enable you to work collaboratively with senior leaders and stakeholders to influence and gain commitment;
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills and experience with working with Excel and databases;
• Primavera P6 scheduling experience or interest would be well regarded
• Effective written communication and report-writing skills;
• Confident dealing with clients and internal stakeholders across multiple disciplines;
• Independent thinker and enjoy working as part of a team and making a difference.


About the role
As an Assistant Project Manager, you will undertake consulting services within program and project management related areas to a variety of clients in the Built Environment. You will have the opportunity to develop and apply core project management skills across a wide variety of project types.


Specifically, you will be responsible for:
• Demonstrating best practice program and project management skills;
• Set up and maintenance of Project Control systems covering budget & finance, schedule and deliverables, team resourcing, key milestones, communications, document controls, and quality management.
• Undertaking day to day program and project management duties for current ongoing project commitments and future projects;
• Undertake other assigned technical program and project management activities as needed;
• Work collaboratively within a mutually supportive team environment with a focus on team success;
• Effectively manage the time, scope, cost, quality and performance of projects;
• Prepare project reports for clients summarising key issues and strategically advising on best outcomes;
• Prepare project plans and resourcing profiles and input into the ongoing skills development within the Project Management team;
• Assist in ongoing skill development within the project management team.
