Position: Associate Director - Retail Marketing (Trade Marketing)

Department: Customer Development (Sales)

Report to: Customer Development Director - Thailand

Location: Bangkok, Thailand

Job Summary:

The Associate Director - Retail Marketing defines the Retail Environment (RE) strategy, prioritizes key business initiatives and drives the implementation across REs.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Define Retail Environment strategy, prioritize investment, develop 5Ps plans and compelling shopper programs to drive growth. Lead team to be expert in shopper understanding & insight
  • Lead the Commercial planning in collaboration with Marketing, CDO and Finance
  • Work with Brand teams to build category plans that drive the growth for Colgate and the retailers
  • Lead the team to Develop 5P´s plan by RE, the activity and promotional grids
  • Understand the path to purchase and the critical touchpoints to influence shoppers in-store and online. Including: assortment and targeted distribution by RE; pricing strategy; trial and repeat promotional activities; merchandising and POP guidelines and tools.
  • Work with Brand teams to tackle portfolio opportunities by RE / Customer
  • Define distribution goals, speed to market product by product/country
  • Supervise POS materials management and define usage guidelines by Retail Environment
  • Set the goals and KPIs for the CDTs, track business achievement, 5P´s KPIs and identify the action plans to close gaps
  • Identify the most effective and efficient Go-to-market and support with CDTs, developing tools required from the CDTs to execute with excellence.
  • Manage Retail operation excellence & sales effectiveness team to provide tool and capability in delivering instore excellence execution
  • Leverage Masterbrand playbook, lead team to develop shopper initiatives that build our brands in-store and online. Provide shopper guidelines to the CDT teams for the development and implementation of customer specific shopper programs
  • Manage the GTN investment. Prioritize investment across REs and customers to maximize RGM
  • Tracks business results, with all available analytics tools (BI, distribution and sell-out reports, POS, Syndicated data, P&L, etc). Evaluates ROI and ROMI analysis with CDT Finance support
  • Facilitate best practice sharing and adoption across teams
  • Stay abreast of FMCG industry evolution, share trends and competitive initiatives
  • Ensure information is shared with Hub Retail Marketing and APAC Division

Qualification:

  • 10-12 years of experience in Consumer / Customer/ Shopper Marketing/ Retail marketing (preferably in FMCG companies)
  • Experience in Customer Development (i.e. Territory Manager, Field Sales Manager, Customer Manger) is preferable
  • Demonstrated ability in strategic development, priority setting, and execution of insight driven activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in collaboration with other functions.
  • Consistent achievement of results.
