Technical Mentorship and career guidance for a team of direct reports (Tech Leads) and other DW/BI practice members
Take complete responsibility for successful delivery of all allocated projects on the parameters of Schedule, Quality and Customer Satisfaction.
Ensures timely identification of risk/problem areas and puts into place appropriate mitigation plans.
Responsible for estimation of team deliverables/projects.
Own overall communication within the team- between Delivery teams offshore and onsite, and other stake holders
Proactively assesses and identifies technical training needs and initiates training sessions in those areas.
Responsible for working with onshore teams and technical leads to understand business needs
Demonstrated ability to effectively recruit, develop and retain talent.
Strong communication skills (written and spoken).
Good to have experience in defining Strategy and Roadmap in the Analytics space including cloud.
Prior experience in systems integration consulting preferred.
Should have leading experience of a complex MS Power BI integration project
Should have worked on designing complex dashboards and reports with visual and tabular design
Proven experience as a MS Power BI Architect
Strong Accumen in powerBI and OBIEE required.
Solid understanding of business intelligence / data warehousing / business analytics technologies is critical to success of the position. Experience in BI/Analytics platforms such as Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, Cognos, Business Objects, OBIEE is a big plus.
Experience with cloud / software as a service solution
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from a reputed university.
Overall 15+ years of experience in software development with 4+ years in BI/DWH/ETL technologies.
Possess prior experience in a DWH Architect/lead role in a large DW implementation developed from Offshore / Offsite delivery centers:
Experience in designing BI & DWH Information Management Architectures, data models, ETL, metadata, cubes and drill through reports using BI platforms
Demonstrable experience in leading and driving BI capability within a large global organization.
Hands-on functional or Product (OBIEE) /OBIA development leadership experience: at least 3 full implementation lifecycles
Strong functional and technical experience in implementing and supporting OBIEE/OBIA framework and BI Applications
Working in developer position in a BI team with strong process and functional experience of Oracle Financials (R12)
Deep knowledge of OBIEE, Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), BI Apps, Business Objects, Informatica, Tableau, SSRS, SQL, Oracle 11i/R12
Experience with upper quadrant BI Reporting Tools Tableau and/or (OBIEE): report/dashboard development is required, ability to design/troubleshoot RPD is desired.
Demonstrated capabilities in managing the development of BI solutions, data modelling, report and dashboard delivery, database administration and performance tuning
Strong understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and DWH practices
Have strong collaboration, communication and influencing skills
Project management experience is a plus
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to communicate at all levels within an organization.
Knowledge on cloud technologies like Tableau 9.x, Oracle Business Intelligence Cloud Services (BICS) and OBIEE 12C.
Good working experience in OBIA and OBIEE publisher reporting
